Membership to WYN-FM is open to anyone interested in being involved in the operation of the station.  As a member you can become involved in the many areas of operation that are required to put a radio station to air.  Some of these areas include:

  • Producing

  • Production

  • Programming

  • Marketing

  • Publicity

  • Technical support

  • Office administration

  • Newsletter production

  • Training

  • and many other unidentified requirements.

As you can see from the list above there are a number of areas that require specific radio experience.  WYN-FM acknowledges that there are few members of the community that have this experience.  The station has developed our own training program that will train members who have little or no radio experience to becoming competent qualified WYN-FM announcers.  When you think about it, all our on air announcers started a some point with no radio experience.

Should you already have previous broadcast experience, WYN-FM have the procedures in place to evaluate your skills and fast-track you to becoming a qualified WYN-FM announcer.

Qualified announcers will be eligible to receive a regular on-air program subject to availability, with some positions available now and others becoming available at any time.

On receipt of your details, our membership co-ordinator will send out an information pack which includes a membership request form.  When we receive your membership request form your membership will be promptly processed.

WYN-FM can be heard on 88.9 FM in stereo.
24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
